An Incredible Trip To An Island Full Of Man’s Closest Relatives, The Chimpanzees
It is a great experience to spend a day with man’s closest relative – the chimpanzee on the largest lake in Africa (Lake Victoria) as you feel the cool breeze of the fresh water lake…
Early in the morning, our driver will meet you at your lodge either in Entebbe or Kampala. You will be briefed at Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) before getting onto your boat for a one hour impressive drive to Ngamba Island, about 23 KMs from Entebbe.
Relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea as you wait to embark on a thrilling experience of having fun with the habituated chimps in their improvised natural habitat. You will greatly enjoy the nature walk in the forest where you will have an opportunity to get close with the chimps, play and take photographs with these friendly apes. On this tour you will also be able to see a variety of birds as well as other primates like monkeys and baboons.
The chimpanzees on Ngamba sanctuary have been rescued from poachers and others are orphans. As such you will greatly contribute to the conservation of these endangered primates by simply taking this wonderful tour.
