A 4 DAY PRIVATE SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1 Your safari guide will meet you and depart by road to Lake Mburo National Park (the drive will take approximately 3-4 hours). You will have a stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, stand at the Equator for a photographic opportunity and also listen to some few interesting facts. We will continue to Lake Mburo National Park. This Park is an extension of the Tanzanian plains with big herds of zebra, impala, eland and other ungulates. Bird viewing opportunities are excellent - for birders, this is one of the best places to find African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. After checking in, you will take a late afternoon game drive or a dug out canoe. Overnight in Mantana Tented Camp/ UWA Bandas (FB)
Day 2 An early start – a wonderful chance to take a This walk takes you to the Salt Lick Area. A strategically located wooden platform (Observation point) offers a chance to see at least four different species of animals at any one point while they lick the salty soil. Return to the camp for breakfast, after which we will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. This park is host to a large variety and volume of wildlife. It boasts one o the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world, from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. Almost 100 species that include Hippos, Lions, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena and the elusive giant forest hog. The primates include Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.

Day 3 This morning we will leave for the 08.00am chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge. Expect to see various primates most especially Chimpanzee of different species, Black and white Colobus monkeys and other animals like antelopes, hyenas, Lion and many others in the middle of savanna grassland. This gorge is a home of very many bird species.
We will return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to relax before taking an afternoon boat trip alongon Kazinga channel. This will give you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. Day 4 After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Kasenyi Area of the Park for a sunrise game drive. Here you will be able to see numerous elephants as well as water hog, lion, hyena, Uganda kob, waterbuck and bushbuck as well as the salt lakes. We will then drive back with our packed lunch to Kampala arriving in the late afternoon.
